Rosianna M. Silalahi is a distinguished figure in television news and journalism, recognized for her dedication, extensive experience, and significant contributions to Indonesian broadcast journalism.
Rosi began her academic journey with a Bachelor’s degree in Japanese Literature from the Faculty of Letters at Universitas Indonesia. She also received a study scholarship from the United Kingdom for the “Transition to Democracy” program.
Throughout her journalism career, Rosi has been known for interviewing prominent world leaders and heads of state on various occasions, including former United States President Jimmy Carter, Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew, and Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. She was also one of six Asia Pacific journalists invited to the White House to interview President George W. Bush following the World Trade Center tragedy in 2002.
Rosi’s career within KG Media has been closely associated with KompasTV. She joined KompasTV on September 1, 2014, as KompasTV News Director, a position she held until October 13, 2024. In this role, she played an important part in shaping the direction of KompasTV’s news coverage, editorial standards, and journalistic quality as one of Indonesia’s leading television news networks.
On October 14, 2024, Rosi was appointed Vice President Director of KompasTV, serving in the role until May 31, 2025. As of June 1, 2025, Rosianna M. Silalahi has served as President Director of KompasTV.
